Linda Herodes

Commercial Underwriter III

What Linda Enjoys Most About Her Work

I enjoy the opportunity to build strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners. I take pride in serving as an advisor on coverages, helping agents and clients navigate options that support consultative sales. It’s so rewarding to contribute to building a profitable book of business while providing meaningful guidance that drives value for our clients.

    About Linda

I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where I got my degree in social work and psychology. I have used (and continue to use) the skills that I learned (listening, research, and evaluation) for over 30 years in the insurance industry—underwriting, claims, recruiting and sales, sales management, and underwriting training. Recently I “took a break” from insurance and worked for an auto body company as a human resource specialist. After helping the company with their business insurance program, I realized my heart belonged in insurance and I applied at Society. I am here, and my heart is happy again.

My husband, Mike, and I live in West Bend, WI, and have a blended family that includes four children, four wonderful in-law spouses, and four amazing grandchildren. The families are spread out between Washington, Illinois, and Wisconsin so it’s hard to get them all together, but we make the most of it when we have the opportunity.

    What are your favorite hobbies?

In my free time, I love quilting—it is both creative and calming.

I also enjoy traveling with my husband. Together, we’ve explored Ireland, Mexico, and 24 of the 50 U.S. states. We are known to go back to the places we have already been, but one of our bucket list goals is to visit all 50 states as a couple. Next on our travel list is to visit the Northeast-specifically Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey—as we continue working towards our goal.

What is your favorite binge-worthy show?

I’m a big fan of comedies, and my top binge-worthy picks include Shitt’s Creek, Shrinking, and Ted Lasso. Each of these shows have heart, humor, and characters that you can’t help but love amid their quirks, flaws, and personal growth.

What would be your perfect Sunday?

My perfect Sunday includes church in the morning, ham and rolls for lunch, football on the TV, quilting for the afternoon, and family dinner to end the day.
