After you report a claim, you’ll be contacted within 24 business hours by one of our dedicated claims professionals. Whether it’s sending a claims professional out to investigate damage, locating your nearest repair shop, or utilizing one of our many cost containment programs, we take care of the small details that make a big difference.

HOW TO REPORT A PROPERTY, AUTO OR LIABILITY CLAIM

  • Contact your independent agent
  • Call 888-576-2438, ext. 5514 (or press “8” at the prompt after hours) or email claims@societyinsurance.com

WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENT OF A LIABILITY CLAIM

  • Preserve any evidence, including surveillance video
  • Secure witness contact information, if applicable
  • If possible, take photos of the area immediately after the incident
  • Complete a customer accident/incident report immediately following the incident

WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENT OF AN AUTO CLAIM

At the scene of the accident
  • See if anyone involved in the accident is injured
  • Contact the police
  • Do not discuss the accident with anyone but the police, your independent agent, or Society Insurance
  • Secure witness contact information, if applicable
  • If possible, take photos of the scene of the accident, including the vehicles involved
  • Report the claim as soon as you are safely able to do so
Auto damage due to collision
  • Visit Society’s direct repair program (DRP) for a listing of all the preferred shops in your area. If you choose to use our DRP network, the shop will complete an estimate and provide photos directly to Society Insurance, expediting the Auto Claims process.
  • Call to ensure your vehicle has arrived at the repair shop
Auto glass damage
  • If you need glass on your vehicle repaired or replaced, contact Safelite Auto Glass at 877-876-7120
  • Safelite will request your policy information and schedule a time and location that is convenient for you
Auto accident/damage caused by an animal
  • See Society’s direct repair program (DRP) listing all our preferred shops in your area. If you choose to use our DRP network, the shop will complete an estimate and provide photos directly to Society Insurance, expediting the Auto Claims process.
Stolen vehicle
  • Call the police to report the theft
  • Report the claim to Society Insurance

  • Take the necessary steps to preserve and protect your property from further damage
Theft from your business
Equipment breakdown/Power outage
  • Contact the necessary authorities, if applicable
  • Take the necessary steps to preserve and protect your property from further damage
  • Immediately call the utility company following a power outage
  • Keep freezer or cooler doors shut during power outages
  • If food must be discarded, maintain a detailed inventory and take photos of all items
  • Keep the contact information of any technicians that work on the equipment
Other property losses
  • Contact the necessary authorities, if applicable
  • Take the necessary steps to preserve and protect your property from further damage
