Internships

CULTIVATING FUTURE INSURANCE PROFESSIONALS

We take an active role in supporting aspiring professionals by regularly participating in regional on-campus events. Whether it’s conducting mock interviews, reviewing résumés or speaking as a guest presenter, we aim to build professional relationships with students and promote their educational growth.

Of course, we’re also always on the lookout for fresh talent to bring aboard our expert team of insurance specialists. We focus on recruiting university business students with a knack for taking on big business challenges. We’re all about knowing what makes small businesses tick, so we look for individuals with the ability to pinpoint and solve our policyholders’ unique problems.

If you plan to visit us at a career fair, we recommend you bring a résumé, dress for success and follow up with us to make a good first impression. You can also set yourself apart by attending one of our other on-campus events and introducing yourself beforehand. Your efforts may help you land one of our paid summer internships, where you’ll gain real-world experience working alongside our dedicated specialists.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Cultivating the next crop of insurance professionals is one of the most important things we do at Society. We work side-by-side with interns to equip them with the skills they need be successful in our industry. We offer internships across a variety of departments, including everything from client claims to underwriting.

After sharpening their skills as members of our team, interns have the opportunity to sit down with Society President & CEO Heather Boyer to discuss their experience and chart the next steps in their careers.

A potential intern needs to be resourceful, customer-focused, motivated and adept at professional communications. Society internships are paid and can be taken for class credit. We offer both full-time summer internships and part-time internships during the school year.
