Can you think of decisions that you make daily? Of course you can! Now, what about a routine that you have daily? This might be tougher. For some, having a daily routine is how they function. For others, a routine may be a new concept.
Routines are a wonderful way to:
- Create stability
- Manage stress
- Accomplish more
- Stay organized
Until recently, there were some things that I wanted to do, but never seemed to have the time for. With the implementation of a simple routines, I’ve found myself having more free time.
One thing that I started to do is prepare for the morning the night before. By taking ten minutes during my evening, I have my outfit picked out, lunch packed, and to-do list ready for the next day. It prevents hectic mornings (most of the time). In the morning, I can then use that extra time to make coffee, scramble up some eggs, take my dog on a longer walk, or just enjoy a few minutes to myself. With this simple routine, I am making a promise to myself to be less stressed. I don’t have to rush in to work later than anticipated. It helps me balance my life with work while accomplishing more.
An important thing to remember when setting a daily routine is to stick to it every single day, no questions asked. You need to make the decision that you are going to do it for yourself. Your time is valuable and you likely will find yourself more productive, too!
Routines are a wonderful way to create stability during hectic times, manage stress, accomplish more, and stay organized. Additionally, it can help provide an even greater work-life balance.
